During a Season, you cannot drop to the previous league. If the qualification is successfully completed, then you'll start the next Sprint from the initial rank of the next League. If you've not reached the qualification or have not passed it, by the time a Sprint ends, then you'll start the next Sprint from the initial rank of the same League where you left off. During qualification, you cannot drop to previous ranks. Upon reaching the first rank, qualification begins: to move to the next League, you need to get a certain number of stars. There are always no fewer Sprints than Leagues. You can complete the League in one Sprint (one part of the Season, lasting 1-3 weeks). Each league will start you at your initial rank (for example, tenth), and have you fight to reach rank 1 for that league. Each Season has three Leagues: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The mechanics of ranks and stars remain unchanged. Other rewards include Bronze, Silver, and Gold expendable camouflages given in their corresponding leagues. Even if players don’t make it to the next league, they still get the rewards, which includes Steel and Doubloons. Rewardsįor each new sprint, rewards are both updated and refreshed. Overall, to qualify for the next league, players have to move through 10 ranks and pass the qualification. Basically, the higher the league the player is in, the better the rewards. Gold has the best rewards yet reserved for seasoned players. Silver offers bigger rewards but may need a bit of an effort. Generally, the Bronze league allows players to move to a more leisurely pace. Otherwise, the player starts the new Sprint at the lowest rank of Silver. If that player qualifies for Gold, then the player starts the next Sprint at the lowest rank of Gold. To understand how that works, let’s say a player is currently at Silver and manages to reach Rank 1. To enter the next league, players need to obtain Rank 1 in the current league and then qualify. Besides, each season offers three leagues: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Random and co-op battles are still available but Ranked Battles are always open except during low-activity periods.Įach season is divided into different Sprints with each lasting around one to three weeks. 
Under the new system, players can expect the Ranked Battles seasons to be done regularly with some breaks in between each one.
